NCH
The NCH young carers film helped them build their relationship with a corporate client, British Gas.
Mark Clare, Managing Director, British Gas Residential says: "Our employee partnership with NCH is aiming to raise £250,000 over the next year to help with their vital work in supporting these young people.”
Both GMTV and Channel 4 broadcast sections from the film. This was a very positive experience for both the family and NCH. Partly as a result of this, the two young carers featured were finalists in the Pride of Britain Awards - sponsored by the Daily Mirror and broadcast on ITV.
Sense
The Sense film “Elliot’s Story” was commissioned by the corporate fundraising team at Sense. As well as being a useful tool for them and a positive experience for the participants, the footage was also used as part of a television direct marketing campaign that was successful in both raising funds and developing the charities support base.
Going Home
Redoka designed, developed and produced an innovative resource aimed at women leaving custody and returning to Wales, for a consortium of funders including the European Social Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government.
This interactive dual language DVD comprises eight films. At its core is a highly personal film about the experience of imprisonment and freedom made by a group of women prisoners in workshops developed and facilitated by the Redoka team.
The disc contains a further seven films which address the issues that the women raise in their film. A two hundred page onscreen directory of services, a twenty-page resource booklet and on disc resources for download, which include leaflets and service guides, accompanies the video content. The resource also has hotlinks to the web where appropriate.
Redoka oversaw the entire production process, suggesting topic areas for pilot, developing relationships with appropriate agencies and handling both print and menu structure design.
The package was launched at the Welsh Assembly Government in November 2006.
